Iran Condemns US Military Aggression In Yemen
WANA (May 03) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei has strongly condemned the repeated attacks by the US military over the past 24 hours in various areas of Yemen, including the provinces of Sanaa, Saada, and Al-Jawf, and the bombing of infrastructure and residential areas.
Baqaei described the US military aggression against Yemen as a blatant violation of the Arab country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a gross breach of the principles of the UN Charter and the rules of international law.
He underlined that these attacks, due to targeting residential areas and Yemen’s vital infrastructure, constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson voiced regret over the inaction of the UN and the Security Council regarding the blatant lawlessness of the US and the killing of innocent civilians.
Baqaei said the continuation of US aggression in Yemen, alongside the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the West Bank, and the terrorist acts of the “Zionist regime: against Lebanon, has increasingly destabilized the West Asia region.
He also noted that all regional countries share a collective responsibility to confront the war-mongering by the “Zionist regime” and the US and their violations of international law
